Welcome to the Domain Registration Service ("DRS") Online Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy"). This Privacy Policy describes the information Domain Registration Services dba and its affiliated organizations (owned or controlled by, or under common ownership or control with, Domain Registration Services, Inc.) (collectively, "DRS," "we" or "us") collect or allow others to collect from you and your computer or device when you use or other sites, other applications, email newsletters, digital platforms or other interactive services provided by DRS that link to or refer to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "DRS Services" or "our Services"). This Privacy Policy also explains how that information may be used and shared and the choices you have to limit or prevent certain uses or sharing of that information. This Privacy Policy applies only to DRS Services and does not govern the separate websites, applications, newsletters, platforms and services of DRS Members, customers sites, any third parties that may link to or be linked to from the DRS Services or web site.

By using, registering for, or otherwise accessing our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and DRS's Terms of Services ("terms") and you give your express "opt-in" consent to the collection, use, storage, sharing, transfer, and processing of information about you and your interactions with our Services as explained in this Privacy Policy. Information Collected Through Our Services

Domain Registration Services (DRS) limits the collection, use and storage of customer personal data to that which is necessary to provide our services and meet our contractual obligations. Personal data may include: Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, IP Address (location data).

DRS collects personal data in order to process domain registration, domain renewal and web/email hosting purchases, or other products/services including Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, IP Address and Payment Information, in order to fulfill your order.

DRS also collects (email address, telephone, IP Address) and may access personal data (including Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, Payment History) in order to respond to support requests received at dotearth via web submission, email or telephone. DRS retains support request correspondence for future reference.

DRS also collects (email address, telephone, IP Address) and may access personal data (including Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, Payment History) in order to order to comply with ICANN contact verification requirements.

Customers can review, make changes to or delete personal data on file at anytime online at Personal data deletion requests will be processed if the data is no longer needed for providing the purchased services or if there is no legal or contractual requirement to retain the data.

Purposes for Processing of Personal Data

We may use the information collected through our Services:

  • To manage, administer and improve our Services.
  • To respond to your questions or messages.
  • To provide you with personalized features and content that may be of interest to you.
  • To fulfill your DRS orders and other requests.
  • To process applications for jobs.
  • To manage contests you enter.

  • To save and "remember" your registration information, settings and preferences so you do not have to re-enter this information each time you visit.

Sharing Your Personal Data

We and our service providers collect and use information to provide you with a customized interactive experience and to make our Services more valuable to you.

DRS may share your personal data with third parties in order to complete the processing of your order, for example, processing credit card payments and activating purchases of web and email hosting services with our third party provider/partner, or to fulfill our contractual obligations, for example, providing required contact data elements to the applicable tld registry provider, ICANN, and ICANN accredited escrow provider. We may share any collected information in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of an DRS Service or division, a merger, a consolidation, an asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.

DRS may disclose personal data when deemed necessary in order to comply with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements, requests of law enforcement, or in compliance with any dispute resolution process (UDRP) or ICANN domain contact or WHOIS verification requirements. DRS will make reasonable attempts to notify customer when data is shared for this purpose.


DRS retains personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service(s) you have purchased and to meet our contractual obligations or business requirements for record keeping purposes.

DRS will not process data in a way that is incompatible with this Agreement. DRS will take reasonable precautions to protect data from loss or misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.


We employ physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards in an effort to secure the information we collect. We provide a secure https web-based support/ticketing system. Because no security system is impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of our databases or that information you supply will never be intercepted, accessed, or disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. Because most email and mobile transmissions are not encrypted, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email, text messages, or other mobile transmissions.

Links to and from Other Sites and Services

Our web pages contain links to other sites, applications, platforms and services operated by third parties whose privacy policies we don't control and may differ significantly from ours. You also may access DRS content and the DRS Services from a third-party site or service that may collect, use and share information in ways that DRS would not. DRS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted to this page, so please check back periodically. Your use of our Services constitutes consent to the Privacy Policy then in effect. Users Outside the U.S.

Our Services are controlled and operated within the United States. Any information we collect may be transferred to, and processed, stored, and accessed by, us and our service providers in the United States and in other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. These jurisdictions may have data privacy laws that may not be as protective as those of your home jurisdiction, and courts and other authorities may, in certain circumstances, be entitled to access information about you subject to such data privacy laws.
